Al Mazyona Savings Deposit Accounts​

Al Mazyona Savings Accounts are specifically designed with the convenience of the customer to save their money with the Bank and get the accessibility to withdraw it anytime they need it.

Type of Saving Accounts:
  • Al Mazyona Savings Account – Interest Bearing.
  • Al Mazyona Savings Account – Non-Interest Bearing.

Children’s Account

Children’s account is designed to foster saving habits among children and assurance of financially secure future.

  • The guardian can view and use the child’s account using Mobile Banking and Internet Banking.

  • Access to a 24 hours contact center facility.
  • Apply directly to request to open a children’s account directly through mBanking and Internet Banking.
  • ​Eligible for the Themaar Savings Plan ​to grow your children’s account.
Eligibility:
  • All children below 6 years of age are eligible for Children’s account.
  • Free accidental insurance coverage for the guardian, subject to maintaining an average balance of 500 OMR per month* in the child account (subject to periodic review and change according to the bank’s policies).

Key Terms & Conditions:
  • In case the customer would like to prematurely exit from the savings plan, a pre-mature exit fee will be charged.
    • Exit prematurely before completing one year from date of commencement the plan, shall pay a fees as determined in the tariff book and shall not receive any returns.
    • Exit prematurely after completing one year from date of commencement the plan, shall pay a fees as determined in the tariff book and applicable return interest rate will be revised based on deduction of 1% from actual return interest rate.
  • In case a monthly deposit is missed, the maturity amount will reduce at the end of the term. The savings plan will be canceled automatically if a customer misses 6 continuous payments/instalments and Premature Closure Terms and Conditions will apply.

  • The Father or legal Guardian that have a Bank Muscat account have access to view & transact on their child’s Floosi account using mBanking or Internet Banking.
  • Only one mobile number can be registered with Bank Muscat and this is the number on which all SMS messages will be sent, so this number must be specified when applying to open an account– whether it is the child’s number or the father or legal guardian's number.
  • Loans, cheque books, or credit card applications cannot be requested using a Floosi account.
  • The father has the ability to authorize an alternative person to be the legal guardian of the account.
