MUSCAT, 23 July 2014 - As part of this year's Ramadhan Al Khair activities, AbdulRazak Ali Issa, Chief Executive, Bank Muscat, and members of the Management Team paid a surprise visit to Call Center employees, at Iftar time. During the visit, an iftar gathering was arranged in a friendly atmosphere, where everyone socialized and bonded. The Chief Executive and members of the Management Team also had Iftar with employees of the Operations and IT Departments at the head office.
Bank Muscat has lined up a series of social, cultural and religious activities to mark the Holy Month of Ramadhan. The month-long celebrations were targeted at the family, offering an opportunity for all to participate in Ramadhan programmes at the bank's head office.
The varied Ramadhan activities by the bank included Iftar gatherings for stakeholders and customers. Meethaq Islamic Banking has lined up a series of Ramadhan lectures by renowned scholars, while the SME department is hosting an exhibition to support entrepreneurs. As part of the bank's ongoing staff engagement programme, various cultural, literary and sports activities were also organised.
The bank is committed to encouraging and establishing a culture of social responsibility among the bank staff. Bank Muscat was the first bank to establish a full-fledged Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) department in Oman. Considered among core values, the CSR policy stems from the bank's commitment to social responsibility encompassing all-round development vis-à-vis society, environment and economy. The CSR strategy has been developed in close alignment with the bank's vision and values. The focus is on developing unique social programmes with Bank Muscat identity as well as in collaboration with Government institutions.
