MUSCAT, 09 November 2016 – Bank Muscat, the flagship financial services provider in the Sultanate, in line with its 'Let's Do More' vision and commitment to partnership in promoting artistic talent, extended support to the 'Paint for Peace' event hosted by Bhavalaya in tribute to the icon of peace, His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, on the occasion of the 46th National Day.
H.E Sayyid Soud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of State and Governor of Muscat, was the guest of honour at the concluding ceremony of the 3-day event held at the Omani Society for Fine Arts (OSFA) in which 23 Omani artists and 23 Indian artists joined hands to create artworks reflecting a world without violence. Taya Bait Sabeea, AGM – Capital Region, received the memento presented to Bank Muscat on the occasion in appreciation of the support extended to the event.
The friendship initiative celebrated the close ties between Oman and India in the development and promotion of peace. Highlighting the Sultanate's rich heritage and culture, especially as a cultural hub for art lovers, the event provided a unique opportunity for artists from Oman and India to share their experiences.
Bank Muscat's support to the initiative stemmed from its commitment to highlight the country's achievements during the past 46 glorious years of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said. For over three decades, Bank Muscat has launched and supported several initiatives in the pursuit of artistic and cultural accomplishments.
The Paint for Peace event which produced some outstanding work of art succeeded in conveying the nation's feelings and sentiment towards the country's beloved leader His Majesty Sultan Qaboos. The event was a rare opportunity for artists from Oman and India to highlight the peace objective shared by both countries.
