Bank Muscat hosts high achieving SQU students

MUSCAT, 30 April 2014 – Bank Muscat, the flagship financial services provider in the Sultanate, as part of initiatives aimed at strengthening relations with Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), hosted the high achieving Dean's list students of the College of Economics and Political Science. The interaction with the students helped in showcasing the avenues for a rewarding banking career. The students were briefed on work place performance and talent management and also taken on a tour of the bank's head office.

Salim al Kaabi, DGM – Human Resources Management, said: “As the nation's leading bank, Bank Muscat attaches great importance to national initiatives, especially higher education aimed at sustaining the country's progress and development. The association with SQU stems from Bank Muscat's commitment to the country's future generations. Bank Muscat enjoys strong relations with SQU and is proud to be engaged in collaborative partnership with the premier university of Oman."

The bank has adopted a series of measures in line with the Royal directive to develop the potential of youth in the progressive march of the nation. Every year, Bank Muscat welcomes SQU graduates to take up various positions in the bank. The absorption of SQU graduates reflects the bank's focus to develop its young Omani leadership.
