MUSCAT, July 27th 2013 – The Tadhamun programme launched by Bank Muscat, targeted at beneficiaries from social welfare families across the Sultanate, continues to spread happiness through distributing household goods and appliances to beneficiary families in Nakhal and Al-Musan'a in the South Batinah Governorate.
Ali Jami', Regional Manager,North Batinah branches, Bank Muscat, said: " Tadhamun programme, launched by the bank in association with the Ministry of Social Development,aims to support Omani families in these blessed days of Ramadhan.
Through this CSR initiative, Bank Muscat aims to support various society segments across the Sultanate and spread happiness among these families.
Raya Al-Shikeily, acting regional manager of Al-Batinah-south branches, Bank Muscat, said: " We are proud to launch Tadhamun programme which aims to support Omani families in different Wilayats. These social welfare families need our attention and I thank all media for covering this event and for following-up with the initiative's developments. The support will continue during the holy month and will visit families in remote areas to spread joy and happiness this Ramadhan."
Raya Al-Shikeily added that Tadhamun programme stems from Bank Muscat's plans to support CSR initiatives aiming to encourage the less fortunate sectors within the society. Bank Muscat supports society segments s across the Sultanate through cooperation with government bodies and NGOs. Over the years the bank has implemented several initiatives benefiting various segments of the society".
Ali Al-lawati, Bank Muscat Nakhal branch manager, said: "These are wonderful moments for us, as we witness the smiles and joy of the beneficiary family memebers who have received the Tadhamun support which might seem modest but in fact made a big impact on their lives. Note that Bank Muscat is the first Omani bank to establish a full-fledged CSR department. Considered among core values, the CSR policy stems from the bank's belief in the importance of social responsibility. It reflects the bank's concern and care for various segments of society.
Abdul Aziz Mahfouz Al-A'dhali from Nakhal in South Batinah, who received Tadhamun support, thanked Bank Muscat for the initiative which he said would ensure a decent living for his family. “The bank's support during the holy monthis a big encouragement for us," Al-A'dhali said.
In Al-Musan'a, Shiekha Juma Al-Hajri expressed her joy and gratitude for Tadhamun support on the electrical appliances especially air conditioners that her family needed in this hot weather. She said: “I thank Bank Muscat for this gesture which will help my family members enjoy a better Ramadhan this year." She wished that Tadhamun programme would continue to support Omani families not only in Ramadhan, but throughout the year.
The objective of this Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative is to address the household requirements of low-income beneficiaries. In the coming days, the bank will distribute essential appliances, including air-conditioner, refrigerator, deep freezer, cooking range and television to beneficiaries identified by the Ministry of Social Development. Bank Muscat made a media and marketing plan to introduce Tadhamun programme to support Omani Families in association with different media channels which will shed the light on the Tadhamun team events and visits.
