If you are opening your first account with Bank Muscat, you can start your account application process for a new Savings Account here.
Please follow the following steps:

Process:

  1. Download the electronic account opening. Click Here
  2. Using a computer (or compatible electronic device), complete the interactive Account Opening Form electronically. (Note: No need to print & fill or sign by hand).
  3. Review the form and save the completed file in your personal computer or mobile. (Click Here to review T&C).
    (Note: For opening current account, please visit your nearest branch)
  4. Attach and send the Account Opening Form with the soft copy of the required documents to: digitalaccountopening@bankmuscat.com
  5. If the Account Opening Form is incomplete or does not meet the standards, you will receive an email within 2 working days.
  6. If the Account Opening Form and related documents is are complete, you will receive a tele-verification call at the GSM number mentioned in the account opening application from the Bank within 2 working days.
    In this call, you will also be requested to provide your preferred branch for delivery of the debit card.
  7. Upon successful verification, you will receive a case reference number (OTH number).
    (Note: The new account will not be permitted for debit transactions, until you complete “in-person” verification, document verification, collection of debit card and signature capture).
  8. You will receive SMS notifications from the bank on opening of the account and availability of the debit card at your preferred delivery branch.
  9. On receipt of the SMS, visit your preferred delivery branch to receive your debit card. You must bring with you all the requirement documents for verification, as well as the case reference number (OTH Number).
    (There is no need to print the Account Opening Form)
  10. Sign the documents to receive your debit card. Welcome to Bank Muscat!

Additional Information for Non-Resident and GCC Nationalities only.
  • Address proof of permanent address or Oman residential address.
  • Provide document to support purpose of opening account.
  • Complete the full Common Reporting Standard (CRS) section in account opening form.

Note: All attachments should be either in PDF or JPEG format and should not exceed 10 MB in total.
