Oman’s state budget achieved a healthy surplus of RO 1.12 billion in the nine-month period till end-September 2022, compared to a deficit of RO 1.03 billion over the same period last year. The Sultanate’s public revenues also registered a massive rise of 43.4 percent to reach over RO 10.5 billion by end-September 2022, on the back of higher oil production and prices. In other news, government-owned Hydrom, the first hydrogen-centric energy company in Oman, has formally launched its first round of public auctions of land blocks for the development of green hydrogen projects, which is a keen indicator of Oman’s rapid and ongoing transformation.
