Bank Muscat honours Oman youth football team

MUSCAT, 5 September 2015 – Bank Muscat, the flagship financial services provider in the Sultanate, as part of its commitment to promote Oman as a sporting nation, honoured the Oman junior national team who won the GCC Under-17 football championship in Qatar. The bank organised a ceremony at the head office to felicitate the team in the presence of senior bank officials and key representatives of the sporting fraternity.

Salim Al Kaabi, DGM – HR, congratulated the junior team for winning the championship against tough challenges. Al Kaabi said: “The Bank Muscat gesture to honour the winning team is aimed at motivating them to achieve greater success as also to set a fine example for the private sector to support the government in building a sporting nation."

Sultan Al Zadjali, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Football Association, thanked Bank Muscat, noting that “the bank's gesture is a big support for the country's youth and we are confident that many youngsters will be motivated to become football stars for the country."
