MUSCAT, 15 March 2015 – Bank Muscat, the flagship financial services provider in the Sultanate, and LuLu Hypermarket, the largest retail chain in the GCC region with over 125 outlets, have joined hands to launch the first retail co-branded card in Oman. The unique 'LuLu bank muscat credit card' offers a range of benefits and exclusive advantages, notably rewards on all transactions which add immense value to the shopping experience.

The Lulu bank muscat credit cardholders earn points on all transactions when using their cards to make payments. For every transaction done at LuLu outlets in Oman, customers receive 2 per cent of the total transaction amount back in points and for any transaction done elsewhere customers will receive 0.5 per cent back in points.

The 'LuLu bank muscat credit card' rewards programme allows customers to earn points for every card transaction in LuLu outlets in Oman or any other merchant outlets. For example, if RO 100 is spent in Lulu Oman, the customer will earn RO 2 in points. If the customer spends RO 100 elsewhere, he will earn 0.5 per cent which is equal to 500 baisa. Cash withdrawal transactions are not eligible for earning points.

The benefits include exclusive check-out counters at all LuLu outlets in Oman. The dedicated express check-out counters help cardholders avoid long queues. Customers can also enjoy discounts and special offers at LuLu Hypermarket, travel insurance, extended warranty and customer protection.

The minimum monthly salary eligibility for the card is RO 250 and the annual fee is RO 10. Supplementary cardholders are also eligible to earn points on usage of cards. The points will be credited to the primary account.  Redemption of points at LuLu outlets is available for a minimum amount of RO 5 and points are redeemed in multiples of RO 5.

The unique card allows smooth access to almost everything in a secure environment – travel, entertainment or shopping. Created exclusively for a niche segment, the card is a value-added package aimed at offering a rewarding experience. By simply using the card, customers will be able to avail attractive benefits on all transactions.

The Chip & PIN card enhances security and gives peace of mind for all transactions, including everyday shopping. Transactions are authorised using Personal Identification Number (PIN) instead of signature. The MasterCard is accepted worldwide. The card can be used for online shopping in which MasterCard Secure Code provides added security at participating merchants.

A wide range of free travel insurance with 'LuLu bank muscat credit card' includes travel accident insurance as well as insurance for lost baggage and money, cancellation, travel delay, delayed baggage, personal liability, legal expenses and loss of passport and access to free medical and legal referral services worldwide.
