MUSCAT, 30 July 2012 – bank muscat, the flagship financial services provider in the Sultanate, will host a two - day exhibition by Omani women at the Head office on 31 July and 1 August 2012. The exhibition is part of the 2nd 'Layali Al Khair' (Ramadhan Evenings) of the bank.
In discharging its social responsibilities, bank muscat aims at promoting the homemade products of Omani women. The exhibition will support and encourage women who earn a living through home based business activities. A total of twenty-five exhibitors will display products like clothes, accessories, food items, home decorations and much more, under one roof.
Aliya Al Balushi, Events and sponsorships, bank muscat, said: “bank muscat pursues a distinct policy in regard to implementation of social projects that help augment the potential and growth of communities. This initiative comes in line with the bank's awareness of its social responsibility. The Bank from time to time organises and supports such events with the aim to uplift Omani women, create opportunities for them to make a living, help them become financially independent and self sustainable."
Amal Jawad Sultan, who is responsible for organising the exhibition said: “bank muscat has played a great role in taking initiatives to transform local communities, especially for women, to embark on self-employment and to improve their living standards. An exhibition like this boosts the morale of the women and gives them an avenue to display their creativity and hard work. The exhibition will be open to public from 31July to 1 August 2012, 8 pm – 11 pm.
