al Mazyona RO 1.9 million prize draw excitement grips Muscat Festival

MUSCAT, 10 February 2015 – Excitement gripped Muscat Festival activities at Al Amerat Park as thousands of citizens and residents witnessed the climax of Oman's popular 2014 al Mazyona savings scheme. The event turned out to be a grand celebration for 15 winners across the Sultanate who shared the RO 1.9 million al Mazyona year-end prizes.

Well-known media personalities Khalid Al Zadjali and Sharifa Al Amri picked the lucky winners, including the biggest RO 500,000 prize money by asalah Priority Banking, at the mega event attended by senior Bank Muscat officials. In keeping with the spirit of celebration linked to Muscat Festival, the grand prize draw was for the first time telecast live on Oman TV as part of its Hello Muscat programme. The bank lined up an exciting programme at the prize draw ceremony attended by senior bank officials and a large turn-out of festival visitors.

asalah Priority Banking customer from Al Khoudh branch won the biggest RO 500,000 prize money while 14 winners across the Sultanate won RO 100,000 each. A large turn-out of children, citizens and residents witnessed the most awaited event in the Sultanate's banking calendar. The family event marking the culmination of 2014 al Mazyona savings scheme included entertainment and fun activities aimed at educating people on prudent savings habits. Attractive gifts and prizes were distributed to children and winners of spot competitions on the occasion.

Marking Oman's 45th Renaissance anniversary, Bank Muscat raised the 2015 al Mazyona prize money to RO 9 million compared to RO 8 million in 2014. Structured on the thematic '45' reflecting the Sultanate's 45 years of Renaissance under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, the 2015 al Mazyona savings scheme campaign reaches out with a powerful call to action 'Save more, Dream big' guaranteeing more for everyone to share in the biggest prize money in Oman and the region.

The enhanced 2015 prize money is to be shared by more winners as customers from all regions are guaranteed to win prizes ranging from RO 45,000 a week to RO 450,000 a month  and RO 1.5 million at the end of the year. A special prize draw offering RO 450,000 in celebration of the 45th National Day is another highlight.
