MUSCAT, 17 July 2012 – BankMuscat, the flagship financial services provider in the Sultanate, has lined up month-long celebrations to mark the Holy Month of Ramadhan. The 2nd 'Layali Al Khair' (Ramadhan Evenings) to be hosted at BankMuscat head office with an array of family events is aimed at creating a platform where BankMuscat customers and the public can enjoy the Ramadhan nights.

Al Hassani added: “Over the years, BankMuscat has organised Ramadhan initiatives as part of its commitment to make a difference in the lives of needy sections of society. We invite everyone to join the Ramadhan celebrations at BankMuscat head office where a perfect setting is created amidst leading restaurants and retail outlets."
The Bank will host Iftar gatherings for all stakeholders, including investors and customers.
Various fun and entertainment events, cultural, literary and sports activities will be organised as part of Layali Al Khair to offer a memorable experience. The highlights of Layali Al Khair include daily live telecast of the popular Ala Al Sohoor show by Oman TV, featuring lively discussions on different subjects with pre-invited audience/guests, including VIPs and cookery demonstrations by popular chefs. The interactive programme offers an opportunity for participants to win attractive prizes.
A special Kids Zone has been set up where daily fun activities and awareness programmes, games and exhibitions will be held. The Qaranqasho celebration will be a major attraction for children.
A road safety awareness programme by famous Omani motor rally champion Hamed Al Wahaibi is another highlight of Layali Al Khair. The Safety First awareness campaign is aimed at raising awareness and promoting road safety.
Meethaq Islamic Banking has organised a series of Ramadhan lectures by renowned scholars. The Zeinah department, which caters to women with exclusive products and services, will host events to support women earning their livelihood from home-based business activities. An exhibition of products developed at home by women will be organised to extend a helping hand to them. BankMuscat Hearts, an informal voluntary organisation of BankMuscat staff, will host charity cookery shows. Donations raised from charity events will benefit voluntary social organisations.
