Bank Muscat supports 46th National Day operetta in Salalah

MUSCAT, 28 November 2016 – Bank Muscat, the flagship financial services provider in the Sultanate, in line with its 'Let's Do More' vision and commitment to partnership in national celebrations as part of the 'Imprints' social responsibility initiative, extended support to an operetta on the occasion of the 46th National Day celebrations in Salalah.

Organised by the Directorate of Heritage and Culture at the Ministry of Heritage and Culture, Dhofar Region, the operetta was held under the patronage of H.E Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar, in the presence of dignitaries, senior representatives of the government and the private sector. The highlight of the folklore music and dance event showcasing the progressive march of the Sultanate under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said was the participation of 17 traditional bands and 600 folklore artistes from Dhofar region.

The National Day is a great occasion remembered with pride, recalling the progress made during the blessed Renaissance led by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, which has elevated the Sultanate to a unique position in the world. Great achievements are the results of inspiring leadership. The all-round progress, development and the glorious achievements witnessed by the Sultanate are the results of His Majesty's farsighted vision which encapsulates the roadmap for the present as well as the future development march in the Sultanate encompassing all spheres. Complementing the impressive achievements made by the Sultanate under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, Bank Muscat remains committed to contributing to further progress of the nation, prosperity and welfare for all.

Marking Oman's 46th Renaissance anniversary, Bank Muscat launched the 'Imprints' initiative.  Highly ambitious in its scope and reach, the 'Imprints' is a unique public-private partnership in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Tourism, Muscat Municipality and the Public Authority for Consumer Protection.  The focus of 'Imprints' include four key programmes to inculcate financial literacy, promote sustainable tourism, sustain green environment and encourage enriched lifestyle.

The 'Imprints' CSR initiative stemming from the Royal directive of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos to accord priority for social responsibility is the first-of-its-kind in Oman in terms of its scope and reach, uniting different segments in making a big difference in reciprocating to what the country has given us. The initiative marks a big step in the public-private partnership to make lasting contributions to society and the nation.
