Bank Muscat launches first-of-its-kind Hayatuna health insurance

MUSCAT, 16 December 2013 – Bank Muscat, the flagship financial services provider in the Sultanate, in partnership with AXA Insurance, has launched a first-of-its-kind health insurance plan in Oman that offers full coverage for treatment ranging from simple medical check-ups to chronic illness.

Inkawan Dharma Jusi, General Manager, Retail Banking, and Jonathan Jane, AXA's Country Manager, signed the agreement for the unique Hayatuna Health Insurance plan available in three variants targeted at the blue collar, salaried and affluent segments of society, offering annual coverage ranging from RO 25,000 to RO 250,000.  The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from Bank Muscat and AXA Insurance.

The unique features of Hayatuna health insurance include treatment coverage for pre-existing conditions as well as chronic illnesses. The insurance also facilitates direct billing from day one and can be availed for out-patient and in-patient treatment across a wide range of hospital network in Oman, the Indian sub continent and South East Asia.

Customers can avail medical care at a range of hospitals in Oman and the region as soon as they sign up and receive the Hayatuna medical card. For the first time, the Hayatuna insurance also provides coverage for treatment relating to maternity complications and routine dental work etc. 

In step with smarter strategies that provide a distinct customer service, Hayatuna has set a benchmark for bancassurance products in Oman, offering the right insurance plan tailor-made for specific customer needs. The Hayatuna products guarantee security and peace of mind to customers.
