Bank Muscat Jadara Academy, a unique management development programme to build a potential leadership pipeline, has launched the first batch of ‘Middle Management Programme I – Cambridge Faculty’. Forty-three participants from various departments are attending the programme delivered through Maris Strategies, a business think-tank company that provides innovative research, consulting, advisory services and executive education training to organisations delivering products and services for emerging and frontier market customers.
The programme will take participants on a learning journey consisting of assessing global best practices to interpret emerging trends in the financial services industry, and apply this knowledge to the markets in which the bank operates. The programme consists four modules covering the fundamentals, developing business intelligence, strategic thinking and tactical actions, management skills, ethics and communication.

At each module, participants will build on skills and knowledge attained to learn-understand-apply emerging concepts and ideas from financial institutions across the globe, and deploy these tools to consider Bank Muscat’s current opportunities and challenges. Assessments on various forms will take place between sessions and between modules, to ensure the programme faculty and participants measure the results and quality-assure the outputs from the programme.
The intent of the learning process is to develop and embed the fundamental skills that will best serve the implementation of the bank’s strategic vision, operational objectives and long-term sustainability and resilience.
