What do I need to avail this facility?

A.

All you need to have is a bank account with BankMuscat, a mobile phone connection from any service provider in Oman.

How can I avail of this facility?

A.

- Register through your mobile handset.
- Call Bank Muscat at (+968) 2479 5555 and register
- Visit any of our branches and fill in the Mobile Banking application form.

How to register through your mobile handset?

 

- Customer should send a request as REG (space) and the Customer Number mentioned on your debit (or ATM) card to the short code 90090, e.g.: REG 2130000
- On receipt of correct information, the service is activated and a welcome message is send to you

Can I have my GSM registered in more than one account?

A.

No, you can register your GSM number in only one account, as it has to be a unique GSM number for each account.

Can I avail this facility for all my account with different branches?

A.

Yes. Provided you register with a different GSM number for each account.

 

 

5)

I have a company and a joint account how can I avail this service?

A.

Company, Government and Joint account holders can only register through the branch.

 

 

6)

I have a bank account with another bank and not with BankMuscat. Can I avail this facility?

A.

This facility is available exclusively only to BankMuscat account holders. Click here if you are interested in opening a BankMuscat account.

I have a mobile connection taken in another country. Can I avail of this facility?

A.

This facility is currently available only if you have a mobile phone connection provided by Oman Mobile Only. This facility will work in any country if you carry a mobile phone with Oman Mobile Only connection and have the international roaming facility enabled.

What are the charges for availing this facility?

A.

There are no charges for availing this facility. This service comes absolutely free from BankMuscat.

What is the number to which I need to send these SMS messages from my mobile phone connection?

A.

I have registered my mobile phone number as required. How do I use this facility?

A.

The service has the options of various Requests (Pull) and Alerts (Push) messages. The required process and services available are listed below.
