BankMuscat sponsors IMD Roundtable for Senior Executives

BankMuscat were the sponsors if the IMD Roundtable Seminar on 'Ethical Dilemmas for Senior Executives'. International Institute for Management Development, Lausanne, Switzerland is one of the world's leading Business Schools, devoted to developing the leadership capabilities of international business executives at every stage of their career. The seminar was held on Wednesday, the 23rd October 2002 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Muscat. The lecture and workshop was conducted by Professor Stewart Hamilton, member of the Faculty of Accounting and Finance of IMD.

Recent failures and shocking revelations of dubious practices in corporate history have made it imperative for a business strategy that anticipates and overcomes ethical issues professionally. The seminar provided an in-depth analysis of the recent accounting failures especially of Enron. The speaker focused on the likely impact these events could have on Investment Banking, rating agencies, auditors and on corporate governance in general.
