BankMuscat launches a unique Electronic Banking Center in Oman

In a colourful event under the auspices of Dr. Amor Awad Al Rawas, Vice President of Omantel,
BankMuscat has opened an electronic banking center named 'BankMuscat e-bank' at Muscat City Center. It will display all the bank's advanced banking facilities to the customer.
The e-bank is housed in an extremely sophisticated ambience opposite Carrefour supermarket. City Center is one of the landmarks in Muscat attracting large number of people from various income and age groups. Opening the e-bank, there is an added convenience of good location for the customer.
The electronic banking center will not have service and layout of a traditional branch but hosts an ATM, two kiosk bank terminals, one
Online banking terminal and a hot line to BankMuscat's Call Center for phone banking facilities.
At the e-bank, customers can avail of the following services:
1. Withdraw cash (ATM)
2. Get detailed account statements (Kiosk banking)
3. Make bill payments (kiosk banking, Online banking and phone banking)
4. Make account to account transfers (Kiosk banking, Online
banking and phone banking)
5. Make cheque book and demand draft requests (Kiosk banking and
Online banking) - The collection continues to be at the branch where the account is held
6. Set up to receive SMS prompts (Online banking)
7. Get information about other services of the bank, loan eligibility etc.
8. And a host of other features
The electronic banking center is designed to be an unmanned center. Initially, sales staff of the bank that would be trained to explain the features to the customer and to open accounts for new customers will man it.
"This electronic banking center can be used both by
BankMuscat customers and customer of other banks who can view and get a feel of the services offered by
BankMuscat," said Abdul Razak Ali Issa, Chief Executive of
BankMuscat. " With the launch of the e-bank, BankMuscat once again demonstrates that as a market leader it continues to set the pace for the market by continuously improving banking services and features and staying in tune with the advances in the rest of the word." added Abdul Razak.
BankMuscat has been the pioneer to launch a host of technologically advanced banking facilities to the customer. It was the first bank to launch a fully automated Call Center and the first bank to launch kiosk banking in Oman. In addition to this, it has launched a technologically advanced
Online banking service and has the largest ATM network in the country.
