BankMuscat celebrates the re-launch of Al Mazyona with a 
glittering party at City Centre

City Centre was the scene of much excitement on Thursday, May 30, 2001, as
hundreds of BankMuscat employees and customers gathered to celebrate the
re-launch of the Al Mazyona Big Gift Savings Scheme. In addition to the
already existing prize of RO 20,000, there are now 6 additional prizes of RO
2000 each, from 6 regions: Dhahira, Batinah, Sharqiya, Dakhliya, Dhofar and
Muscat. Thus, in addition to the bumper prize winner, there will now also
be a guaranteed winner from each region every Saturday.

The prize money now totals RO 32,000 every week, with over RO 1,000,000 to
be won in 2002. This makes it by far the best scheme in the country yet
again, which has always been BankMuscat’s goal. 

The new scheme was announced recently in the press, and has excited the
imagination of people all over Oman, as was evident from the crowd that
gathered at City Centre. As BankMuscat employees announced the details of
the scheme, several eager people opened Al Mazyona accounts on the spot.
Live music, a magic show and lots of competitions for adults and children
all added to the excitement. 

Prizes were given away by Mr. Ahmed Al Abri, General Manager - Retail
Banking, Mr. Saad bin Moosa Al Junaibi, Deputy GM - Retail Banking and Mr.
Said bin Ahmed Al Badai - Asst. General Manager.

Mr. Ahmed Al Abri commented that the huge turn-out was indicative of the
popularity and reach of BankMuscat. Speaking about the new scheme, Mr
Junaibi declared that customers now had "more prizes to look forward to
every Saturday, and more chances to win!" As Mr. Badai put it, this is all
part of BankMuscat’s goal of exceeding customer expectations and building a
warm rapport with them.

The party began in the early hours of the evening and went on till late at
night. It was voted a huge success by everyone who attended. Guests went
away happy and satisfied with their free gifts, and each one’s heart voiced
the same hope - that fortune would smile on them and cause their name to be
included in the Al Mazyona winners’ list the following Saturday!
