Al Nama Monthly Investment Plan
 
  Why do I need Al Nama?

Life is full of milestones like this, and each one calls for careful planning. Here’s an easy way to save, and make your money go a lot further. Introducing the Al Nama Monthly Investment Plan. Set aside as little as OMR 50 every month, invest in the international stock market, and enjoy maximum returns!

  What if I need to encash my investment?

Your investment can be redeemed at any time and without penalty. All we need is written notice from you. You should allow up to fourteen days for the money to reach your account.

  How do I apply?

It’s simple. An application form is available from any of our conveniently located branches.

  Terms and Conditions
  • The minimum monthly contribution is OMR 50. 
  • Contributions must be received by the 1st/16th of each month.
  • Additional sums of not less than the equivalent of OMR 50 can be added at any time. Investments shall be in multiples of OMR 50.
  • Contributions can be suspended or stopped at any time and your account will be left invested.
  • Shares are purchased on the terms and conditions of Fidelity Funds. The cost of telex transferring funds to Fidelity will be met by BankMuscat.
  • Units are purchased at Net Asset Value (NAV) and are subject to a sales charge of no more than 5.25%. The Net Asset Value of the fund is calculated with reference to an annual fee levied by Fidelity of no more than 1.5% per annum, accrued daily and paid monthly, in addition to certain other expenses such as custodian fees, disbursements, and out of pocket expenses. Full details are available in the Fidelity Funds prospectus, available on request.
  • Full or partial redemptions will be paid within 14 days of receipt of original written notice and subject to the conditions laid out in the Fidelity Fund prospectus.The underlying fund is US $ denominated and redemption proceeds would be paid in OMR at the exchange rate prevailing at the time of exit. 
  • Dividends are reinvested by Fidelity fund and additional attributal shares bought at NAV and not subjected to sales charges.
  • Valuations are produced on a quarterly basis and will be sent to you within 14 days of these dates.
  • The Al Nama Monthly Investment Plan is designed to accumulate wealth over the medium to long term. The value of your plan is subject to fluctuation as the value of the underlying investments can fall as well as rise. Your capital is therefore not  guaranteed.
  • BankMuscat Visa/MasterCard Credit Card
    i) Annual subscription fees shall be waived on all credit card applications on the condition that the investor must contribute at least three monthly subscriptions per year. If this condition is not met, the first monthly contribution shall be set off against the payment of the annual subscription charges for the credit card.
    ii) All other terms and conditions regarding application for the credit card shall remain the same
    iii) Payments through credit cards shall be made only after receiving written instructions from the investor.
