  What is My Money card?
Bank Muscat’s My Money card is a re-loadable VISA pre paid card that provides a secure, convenient way of disbursing salary to your employees. Once you enroll for the My Money card facility, each of your employee’s will be issued a My Money card. Your employee’s salary is directly deposited into his My Money card on the scheduled payday.
  Where and when can my employee use the My Money card?
Once the card has been activated and funded (scheduled paydays) the cardholder can use it at any VISA ATM or POS terminal displaying the Visa logo. They can have 24x7 access to their funds up to the balance available on the card.
  How do I avail the My Money card facility for my employees?
To avail the My Money card facility, all you need to do is call the Bank Muscat call center at 2479 5555 and provide your company information and contact details. Our representative will be glad to visit you and explain the procedure of availing this facility.
Details required from the company
a. Name of the person calling
b. Name & address of company from where he is calling
c. Contact number of company
d. Name of person to be met in the company
e. Approximate number of employees in the company
  What should the company do in case an employee leaves the organization?
All the company has to do is to stop including the employee’s name on the monthly salary credits file. The employee can continue to avail of the balance on his card till such time the card expires.
  What should the company do in case the employee loses the card/ employee’s card is captured through an ATM?
The bank has a process in place to resolve such cases. These details are shared with the employers at the time of issuance of the cards.

  What is My Money card?
My Money card is a prepaid card that allows your employer to deposit your wages onto the card instantly rather than paying you by cash. You can use the My Money card to withdraw cash at any VISA ATM and make purchases wherever VISA is accepted.
  How can I get the My Money card?
If your employer participates in Bank Muscat’s My Money card facility, you can apply for this card through your employer.
  How does the My Money card work?
Once your employer signs up with Bank Muscat for the My Money card facility, you will receive an embossed re-loadable My Money card. Each month on the payday, your employer will automatically deposit your wages onto your card. You can then use your card to obtain cash and pay for purchases.
  What is the security for my card?
Your four-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) allows only you to access your funds and your card information. You will enter your PIN when you withdraw funds at ATM terminals and make transactions with your card. This should not be shared with anybody else
  What should I do if my My Money card is lost or stolen?
If your My Money card is lost or stolen, you should immediately call up the Bank Muscat call center at 2479 5555 to cancel your card and issue a replacement card. You will be charged a fee of OMR 2 for issuing a replacement card. Subsequently you need to contact your employer for the card replacement.
  How can I check the remaining balance on my My Money card?
You can check the remaining balance, view transaction history, and manage your My Money card account through any Bank Muscat ATM or by calling the Bank Muscat call center at 2479 5555.
  How do I make a purchase with my My Money card?
To make a purchase with the My Money card, just present your card to the cashier at the billing counter. The cashier will swipe your card through a Point of Sale terminal and provide you a receipt to sign and authorize the payment. You may then sign the receipt and complete the transaction.
  Can I make purchases for more than the amount available on my My Money card?
No, you can make purchases or withdraw cash only up to the Omani Rial amount or equivalent amount available on your card.
  How can I withdraw funds below OMR 5 from my My Money card?
In case the balance in your My Money card falls below OMR 5, kindly add the shortfall amount to top up the balance to OMR 5. You can do this using Bank Muscat deposit machines. You may then withdraw OMR 5 from the ATM.
  Is there a fee to use my My Money card at an ATM?
You may use Bank Muscat ATMs to withdraw money from the My Money card free-of-charge. Withdrawals at other ATMs will incur a service charge.
  What happens when I spend all the funds on my My Money card?
You will be able to use your card again after your employer reloads it with your wages on the next payday. You may also deposit cash onto your card through the Bank Muscat Cash Deposit Machines.
  Is there a charge to reload my My Money card?
No, your card will be loaded with your wages free-of-charge. There are also no charges levied for loading card using the Bank Muscat Cash Deposit Machines.
  Is there any fee for the My Money card?
A one-time fee of OMR 1 will be levied for issuing the card. This amount will be debited from the first salary credited to your My Money card.

Subsequently an annual fee of OMR 1 will be levied based on date of issuance at the beginning of each year subsequent to the year of issuance. This amount will be debited from the balance available in your My Money card.
  What happens if I am no longer employed by my employer in the My Money card program?
You may continue to use your My Money card until no funds remain on the card. If you wish, you may add funds to your My Money card using the Bank Muscat Cash Deposit Machine.
  What should I do if I want to close my ‘My Money’ card?
You may visit any Bank Muscat branch and submit a duly signed request along with your My Money card to close your account. A charge of OMR 1 will be levied for cancellation of the card and refund of the balance amount
