MUSCAT, 27 July 2010 – The excitement of all-new al Mazyona savings scheme from BankMuscat offering daily, monthly and jackpot prizes every 4 months was experienced by customers of New Salalah branch.

Bakhit Jadid Jadad picked the daily and monthly prize winners of RO 4,000 and RO 40,000 respectively while Arif Habood Zaabanoot picked the Double-Your-Salary and Sanadat Al Idikhar deposit scheme winners.

BankMuscat offers a daily prize of RO 4000 for customers maintaining a minimum balance of RO 100. The monthly prize of RO 40,000 is available for customers maintaining a minimum balance of RO 1000. The climax of al Mazyona scheme is a series of jackpot prizes of RO 400,000 every four months for customers maintaining a minimum balance of RO 1000 for at least 3 months.

In line with the emphasis by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos for progress of women in the country, BankMuscat offers 40 prizes of RO 400 each, exclusively for ladies on the National Day, in addition to existing prize schemes for which they will be eligible by maintaining the required balance.

In conjunction with this segment, special prizes of RO 400 each will be given to children born on the National Day through al Mazyona Children’s account. The gesture towards future citizens of Oman is in addition to 10 monthly prizes of RO 100 each for children’s account maintaining the required balance.

The ‘Double-Your-Salary’ scheme entitles customers maintaining a salary account with the Bank to win daily a free bonus salary. There are no pre-conditions attached to the scheme, except that the salary must be transferred to any BankMuscat branch in Oman. The prize scheme is open to all customers with a minimum monthly salary of RO 250. While there is no maximum salary amount which can be transferred to the Bank, the maximum bonus salary a customer can win is limited to RO 2000 per day.

In order to maintain the tradition of providing complete transparency of the scheme, al Mazyona prize draws are held at public places and certified by external auditors.

Sanadat Al Idikhar is a high yielding deposit instrument. For every one Deposit Unit held by the customer, he/she gets one chance to win the following prizes. They can increase the chances by purchasing additional Deposit Units.

During every quarter, one customer wins one Deposit Unit equivalent of cash - RO 10,000 - through raffle draw. The quarterly prize of RO 10,000 each will be given away during the first three quarters every year throughout the 5-year term.

During the last quarter, a draw will be held to pick the winner of RO 200,000. This prize will be given away during the first four years of the product term.

During the fifth year, in addition to the three quarterly prizes of ‘Win back a Deposit Unit’, a draw will be held in the fourth quarter for a bonanza prize of RO 500,000, marking the end of the 5-year term deposit unit.
