Muscat, April 20, 2008 - In keeping with the vision of the wise government of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, BankMuscat appointed 81 Omani nationals in various branches and departments of the bank, in different Governorates and regions, during the first quarter of this year.

Salim bin Mohammed Al Kaabi, assistant general manager, human resources said, 'BankMuscat is focused on equipping its Omani employees with the necessary skills required to excel in performing their assigned duties. We sincerely believe that our efforts toward continual learning will help us build a workplace that is equal to world standards in the near future'

The Bank’s Centre for Learning and Development provides the Bank’s employees with the required knowledge necessary for them to carry out the tasks assigned to them. The Bank also realizes that it is important to develop the performance skills of employees, and takes measures to identify employees with leadership potential early on in their careers and give them the requisite training to develop their potential.

BankMuscat takes proactive measures to send Omani employees for higher education studies within and outside the Sultanate as part of the organization’s vision to further enhance the abilities of nationals working in specialized departments of the bank.

BankMuscat follows a policy on incentives and promotions for leading positions at the bank through the programmes set by the Human Resources Development Centre at the bank, which pays great attention to preparing future leaders within the bank.
