Muscat, March 8: The annual Oral Health Festival targeted at special needs children has received strong support from BankMuscat, the leading financial institution in the Sultanate. The occasion reinforces the Bank’s strong relationship with the public healthcare administration in offering the required support for various community health programmes. Fulfilling its corporate social responsibility, BankMuscat seizes all opportunities to get involved in community programmes contributing to the nation’s comprehensive development.
BankMuscat believes the health status of the population can be improved through concrete and effective community involvement and participation along with implementation of preventive health measures, both of which are in line with the WHO model of health education and promotion targeting special needs children.
The oral health education and promotion organised under the auspices of the Directorate General of Health Services, Governorate of Muscat, includes seven free medical check-up and counseling sessions by dental health professionals amid an informal atmosphere of stage presentations and contests. Members of the public attending the programme will also have the opportunity to meet dental health professionals.
