Since this is a pre-registered beneficiary service available only for BankMuscat customer, a customer has to first get his beneficiary details registered at the nearest branch by filling up the Beneficiary Registration Form (download the form here).

Transaction Process through CDM

Customer selects “Money Transfer Abroad” option on the CDM screen

Customer enters the BankMuscat ATM card. The card number from the card is validated for the bank identification number. If the card is invalid, a suitable message is displayed and the card is returned to the customer.

If the card is valid it is read and returned to the customer.

Upon selection of “Money Transfer abroad”, a new transaction will start by displaying registered beneficiary accounts on the CDM screen.

Customer is asked to select one of the beneficiaries. CDM will display the Name, Account number and Name of the bank

Up on selection, full beneficiary details will be displayed on the screen, such as Beneficiary Account Number, Beneficiary Name, Exchange Rate, and Commission Charges to the customer.

The customer has an option to either exit the transaction at this stage or choose to deposit notes.

 

If the customer selects exit, the transaction would end there.

If customer finds rates suitable and chooses to deposit notes, CDM will prompt the customer to deposit the money.

CDM will accept amount from the customer.

(per transaction maximum of OMR 2000/-)

Currency templates of supported currency should be loaded on the firmware. Notes of unsupported currency are refunded to customer with a proper on-screen message.

CDM calculates and displays the INR amount on the screen

Customer at this point in time also can choose to accept or cancel his transaction

If customer confirms the transaction, CDM takes the cash in

For successful transaction, CDM will displays a confirmation screen showing the Card Number, Beneficiary Account Number, Beneficiary Name, Exchange Rate, Less Commission, Courier Charges, amount deposited and amount remitted by the customer

For all successful transaction, customer is eligible for a FREE RO 1 Nawras top up in his Nawras Mousbak mobile number only.

CDM will display a screen where customer can input his Nawras pre-paid mobile number to avail this FREE top-up

Once customer has keyed in his Nawras pre-paid mobile number, his mobile account is credited with OMR 1. A SMS message is sent to his mobile confirming the same instantly

CDM will dispense a receipt of the transaction with following details: BM Card Number, date, time, Machine ID, Sequence number, Beneficiary account number, Beneficiary Name, Amount Deposited, transaction reference number. This transaction reference number can be used for any future enquiries.

Sender and receiver (remitter and beneficiary) both will receive a SMS confirmation from our correspondent bank in India that his payment has been processed.
