 You can earn "basma" reward points every time you make a purchase at Oman oil filling stations, Lulu Hypermarkets and other participating outlets irrespective of the mode of payment- cash or card. However, if you choose to make payment with your BankMuscat credit cards, you will earn additional reward points from BankMuscat over and above the points issued by the participating merchants.

 The process for accumulation of reward points is very easy. All you have to do is present your "basmaCard" to the cashier when you are making a purchase at a participating outlet. The cashier will enter the card into the Point of Sale (POS) terminal that will calculate the number of reward points and store the same on the chip on the card. You will also get a printed slip confirming the number of points earned and loaded on the chip.

 You can earn 5 "basmaPoints" for every One Rial spent on POS transactions using the BankMuscat Classic and Gold credit card and 10 “basmaPoints” for using the BankMuscat Platunim & Infinite credit card. The BankMuscat points are awarded on a monthly basis and you can load these points by visiting any of the partner outlets after the 5th of each month. All you need to do is insert your "basmaCard" in the POS terminal and request for a balance refresh. The BankMuscat points are then downloaded into the chip on your "basmaCard" and are available to you for redemption at any of the "basmaPartner" outlets.

 As the reward points are stored on the smart chip in the card, the points can be redeemed instantly at any participating merchant outlet, as and when you desire. You can also use the "basmaPoints" to make a full or part payment for the purchase of your choice.
