Do’s:
1. Sign your Debit/Credit card, on the reverse,
as soon as you receive it from the Bank. Also,
destroy your old Debit/Credit Card as soon you
receive the new one.
2. Keep your card in a place where it is easily
visible. You would quickly be able to detect in
case your card is lost/stolen.
3. Maintain a list of all your card numbers,
expiry dates and the Call Centre number
(24795555) in a secure place, for easy
reference. If your card is lost or stolen,
report it to the bank immediately to avoid
misuse.
4. Keep an eye on your card every time you use
it. Ensure the transaction is processed in your
presence, wherever possible. This would help
prevent unauthorized transactions on your card.
5. Be suspicious of people offering help in case
your card is stuck in an ATM or people who might
be watching you as you enter the PIN. Report the
incident to the Bank’s Call Centre immediately.
6. Remember to collect your card immediately
after use at an ATM or Merchant Establishment
once the transaction on your card is complete.
7. Always check the transaction amount before
signing the card receipt/sales slip. Carefully
draw a line through blank portions of the
receipt where additional charges could be
fraudulently added.
8. Take a print out of the order and keep copies
of the retailer's terms and conditions and goods
return policy, whenever completing an internet
transaction.
9. Do not ignore any SMS alert or call from the
Bank regarding your transactions or balance in
your account. In case of any discrepancy,
contact the Call Centre immediately.
10. Retain your charge slip copy until such time
the transaction is reflected in your credit card
statement or bank account statement. Report any
unauthorized transaction to the bank within 30
days of the statement date.
11. Please immediately inform the Bank of any
change in your contact address and telephone
contact number (s), including your GSM number.
An advance notification will ensure
communication from the Bank is not disrupted.
Don’ts:
1. Please do not share your PIN with anyone. The
Bank will never ask for confidential information
such as your Debit/Credit Card PIN.
2. Never write down your PIN, especially on the
card or in the wallet. Memorize the PIN and
destroy the PIN mailer document.
3. Do not use any ATM which appears to have been
tampered with e.g. external fittings or loose
wiring. Report the matter to the Bank and use
another ATM.
4. Avoid transacting on merchant websites that
are not registered with Verified By Visa (VbV)
or MasterCard Securecode or those who do not
require the 3 digit security code (appearing on
the signature panel of the card) to be entered.
5. Please do not provide any
personal/financial/card related information in
response to any email seeking such information.
In case you receive such emails, please inform
the Bank immediately.
6. Do not give your card related information
over the telephone to unknown callers. Only make
telephone transactions when you have initiated
the call and are familiar with the company.
