Al
Wathbah organises ‘“Pricing and Financials: The
Link” workshop for SMEs in Collaboration with
Business Edge - IFC
Muscat. 28 October 2007 – Building on its
success, Al Wathbah, BankMuscat’s comprehensive
suite of programme lending solutions for the
small and medium scale sector, has taken the
initiative to organise a special training course
targeting entrepreneurs and owners of small and
medium businesses, for the first time, free of
cost. The course entitled “Importance of Finance
and Accounting to SMEs” was conducted in
collaboration with Business Edge - International
Finance Corporation.
The course was held recently in BankMuscat
Training Centre in Ruwi and attended by Al
Wathbah customers. Rami Camel Toueg, The IFC
professional trainer, who specially flew to Oman
to conduct this course, has covered topics of
‘Importance of Finance and Accounting to SMEs’,
‘Introduction to Marketing Concepts’, ‘Pricing
and Pricing Strategy’ and the ‘Target Markets’.
AbdulRazak Ali Issa, Chief Executive,
BankMuscat, commented on this occasion saying:
“Through organising such courses, we aim to
share some of BankMuscat’s and its partner’s
knowledge and experiences with Omani
entrepreneurs. Moreover, these events provide a
great opportunity for us in BankMuscat to engage
with a wide range of entrepreneurs to know their
business requirements, at the same time giving
them a chance to get to know us and what we do.
We are determined to continue offering these
courses to our current and potential clients
free of charge to benefit the people of Oman as
part of our social investment initiatives”.
It is worth mentioning that two more similar
training courses are scheduled to be conducted
in November and December of this year in Sohar
and Muscat respectively.
Since last year, BankMuscat has dedicated a full
department to cater to the needs of small and
medium enterprises and has placed account
relationship managers in most of the regions in
Oman. Al Wathbah has various financing solutions
for SMEs that has been proved to be very
successful around the Sultanate. |
