Operations Resumed at BankMuscat’s Muscat Branch
Muscat. December 25, 2007: BankMuscat, the
nation’s leading bank, has confirmed that its
Muscat branch has recently resumed normal
operations. Earlier this month, it may be
recalled that the Bank had reported a minor fire
at the branch, as a result of a short circuit.
While some of the furniture at the branch had to
be replaced as a result of the fire, there was
no damage to any of the records of the bank.
Confirming the normal resumption of operations,
Said Al Badai, Chairman of the Bank’s Business
Continuity Planning (BCP) Committee said:
“We are glad to confirm that the Muscat
branch has resumed its normal operations within
the scheduled time allotted. We would once again
like to thank the Royal Oman Police and the Fire
Services personnel for their prompt action,
which minimized damage to the property and the
neighbourhood. And would like to assure our
customers that we shall always endeavor to
service their needs in the best way possible. ”
The Bank, it may be recalled, had temporarily
shifted all its Muscat branch operations to the
nearby Jibroo branch so as to not unduly
inconvenience its customers. |
