BankMuscat launches SMS intimation to
Credit
Card Holders
Muscat.
September 4, 2007: BankMuscat, the nation’s
premier bank, has once again lived up to its
image of a ‘pioneer’ in Oman’s banking industry,
with the launch of its SMS intimation to credit
cardholders.
With the launch of the SMS intimation, the bank
will send SMS messages to its credit cardholders
whenever their transactions exceed a certain
value and/or originates from specific countries
or merchants. This service will be provided to
credit cardholders free of charge. BankMuscat
credit cardholders are requested to provide
their updated GSM number to avail this free
service.
Speaking on this occasion Sulaiman Al Harthy,
DGM–Consumer Banking said,
“BankMuscat is the first bank in Oman to
launch a service of this nature and it is our
privilege to continuously lead the payment card
industry in the Omani market; the SMS
notification is another offering to the society
that facilitates and encourages safe usage of
Credit Cards. This initiative is consistent with
the Bank’s vision of having over one million
satisfied customers by 2010.”
