The Division offers
discretionary portfolio management
services for investments in the
local and GCC markets. Our clients
include local pension funds,
regional mutual funds, global
institutions etc. The BankMuscat AMD
has the necessary expertise to
manage portfolios for other
international markets (developed and
emerging) and can also arrange
relevant tie-ups with global
investment managers, when required.
We have the expertise to
construct and manage portfolios
ranging from aggressive trading
oriented portfolios to portfolios
with a long investment horizon.
Non-discretionary Portfolio
Management Services
The Division also offers
non-discretionary portfolio
management services. Under these
services, the BankMuscat AMD not
only provides investment advice on
the construction and management of
portfolios, but also maintains
custody of the portfolios. The
Division also takes responsibility
for all back-office and accounting
activities and provides regular
updates and market intelligence to
clients on economic, market and
sector outlooks. The Division can
also help clients in identifying
market intermediaries to execute
deals for their portfolios. We are
not involved in actual buy-sell
decisions.
